At the turn of the millennia, ETRADE was becoming a financial powerhouse. They were diversifying their offering and expanding their products beyond investing. I joined the company through an acquisition and started working on advanced trading interfaces.

Website

When the company overhauled the website and integrated all the new product offerings into a cohesive destination, I worked arm-in-arm with the Art Director to ensure all the new branches and teams in the company were on the same page and executing towards a united brand goal.

User Interface

At the time, in-page HTML refresh was not an easily attainable feature for rapid-fire data sources such the trading markets. ETRADE collaboration with the Macromedia (Adobe) Flash team to create the world's first instant stock quote via Flash. The unique opportunities with the Shockwave technology created an insanely fast stock quote for customers at all levels, changing the game and leveling the field.
